GOOD TEMPLARY
The Star of the South Juvenile Temple, No 15, held its weekly meeting in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Kensington, on Tuesday last. Chief Templar Ethel Gibbs presided over an •'"cellont attendance of members. Bro. Brooks, superintendent, being in charge. Two new members w r ere cordially welcomed. Adult lodge members present were Sisters Mrs Gain, Mrs Brooks, Mrs Macdonald, J. Baxter, and 15ro. W. A. lies (G.C.T.), and Bro. Campbell (G.C.). Bro. Campbell addressed the members and invited the temple to Port Chalmers, giving the greetings of the Beacon Juvenile Temple. The programme for the evening was an “ apple ” competition, the following being the winners: Bro. Leithly, Sister B. Ross, and Sister Colleen Herbert. The Rescue Lodge, No. 105 (1.0.G.T.), held its weekly meeting in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Kensington, on Tuesday last. Chief Templar Bro. M’Curdv presided over an excellent attendance of members. Visitors were welcomed from The Star of Freedom ard All Nations Lodges, Sister M Benzie and Bro. Campbell responding on behalf of their respective lodges. Bro. E. Brooks reported favourably on the juvenile temple. The programme tor the evening was “ Sacred and Temperance,” the following being the programme : Ode No. 7, Sister Mrs Beath (recitation), Sister Doris Miller (reading), Bros. R. Morgan and E. Brooks (duet). Sister Gain (reading), bister M'Kcnzie (sole). The sacred programme closed with Ode No. 16. Oi new member was initiated, Bro. • Shand. A vote of thanks was passed to the visitors and members who assisted in the programme.
