CARBON MONOXIDE
DANGER ELIMINATED To counteract motor car poison gas, according to reports from the United States of America, a Rumanian priest now resident in America has perfected a device which is stated to render harmless carbon monoxide, the deadly gas ejected from the exhaust system of cars. The device consists of a blower mounted on the engine, and a small gas chamber affixed to the exhaust manifold, which mixes free oxygen with the carbon monoxide at the point where the poisonous gas leaves the engine. In tests conducted by Detroit authorities a group of persons remained in a tightly closed garage, in which a car engine was run at high speed for an hour without any ill effects being felt by the spectators.
