USEFUL SCREEN-WIPER
livery motorist has had experience at some time or other of vision through the windscreen being obscured on D a very wet night by condensation of water on the inside of the glass, and the annoyance of wiping it clean frequently with a handkerchief. To overcome this difficulty there has just been introduced in Kngland a new form of electrically-propelled wiper, having three blades, two on the outside of the screen in the normal positions in front of driver and passenger and a third in front of the driveilin' side the glass, and coinciding with the outside wiper arm, and operating on the same stroke as the outside arm, but only when condensation makes it necessary. it remains out of use. The whole arrangement is driven by an electric motor of 1-35 h.p. mounted in any convenient position, the drivrn to the neat little gearboxes operating the arms beim* through a flexible shaft. °
