Canadian Challenger sailed at midday for Lyttelton. Wellington, and Auckland to load for New York, Boston, and Montreal. Tamaroa, from London via ports, berthed at Port Chalmers this morning, to load meat and other produce. She is to sail on Tuesday for Wellington and Auckland to load for London. Limerick is due on Tuesday from northern ports, and is to sail on Thursday for Melbourne, Sydney,' Fiji, and Vancouver. Narbada, from Calcutta via northern ports which berthed at Dunedin yesterday, is to dock early next week "for cleaning and painting, and is to sail about Wednesday for Bluff to complete. Karetu is scheduled to sail this evening for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, and Miramar. Canadian Scottish is now due tomorrow from Montreal via northern ports. She is to sail oh Monday for Australia. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Hororata, 11,245 tons, in charge of Captain Hamilton, arrived at Auckland from New York on Wednesday. She is under charter to the .Port' Line. She left New York on August 22, and will also discharge at WeTlimttou. Lyttelton, and Dunedin, beiii" duo here next Saturday.

LONDON SHIPPING. During the week ended August 7, 1,082 vessels, representing 1,071,963 net register tons, used the Port of London. Of these 530 vessels (872,041 net register tons) were to and from Empire and foreign ports, and 551 vessels (199,922 net register tons) were engaged in coastwise traffic. The arrivals included six meat cargoes—-one from Australia, three from New Zealand and two from South America, comprising 413,000 carcasses of lamb and mutton, 112,000 quarters of beef, quantities of pork, rabbits, and sundries. Twenty-five timber-laden vessels arrived at the Surrey Commercial and Millwall Docks with 46,200 tons of softwood timber. .Ninety-six vessels, totalling 803,053 gross register tons, used the Tilbury passenger lauding stage during the month of July. FRASER ROCK LIGHT. The Marine Department advises that a light is being established on the summit of Fraser Rock, Bay of Islands, and will be exhibited on or about September 30. The light will be flashing white every 9sec, thus :—Light. o.9sec, eclipse S.lsec. Structure: White concrete tower 10ft. Elevation; 43ft. Candle-power, 260; visibility, 10 miles.
