THE QUEEN MARY
It was an exciting time at Sodthsfeil when the Queen Mary passed:— Great waves surged up the beach' and caught the spectators. Scores of people were soaked, and more than 200 chairs and many coats, hats, bathing costumes, and towels, were swept out to sea. A man saved his wife’s handbag, which, contained £so’ their holiday fund, • by going into the water up to his neck. But no- one is going to be frightened by the risk’ of a drenching, ancl the passing of the. Queen Mary may yet become an. attraction as potent as the Severn Bore.—‘ Observer.’
