ALL MODERN AMENITIES REORGANISATION AT SANDRINGHAM Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, September 24 ; The ‘ News-Chronicle ’ says the King has approved the plans of a new 4,000ton yacht to replace the present Victoria and Albert. The new vessel will embody all the latest devices, including an arrangement for hoisting seaplanes aboard, a squash court, a swimming pool, and a gymnasium. The King is reorganising the working of the Royal estate at Sandringham, entailing a reduction of staff,_ but has ordered that no employee be discharged until he has secured another job. Many farms previously held by King George are being split up and apportioned to existing tenant farmers. The retained farms will be mechanised with the latest appliances.
