CAPITAL ENDOWMENT FUND
AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION’S APPEAL [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, September 24. An appeal to players and the cricketloving public to assist in an effort to establish a capital endowment fund was made by the chairman (Mr W. R. Fee) at the annual meeting of the Auckland Cricket Association. Mr Fee said that the sum aimed at was £2,000, which, bringing in an annual income of about £loo*, would greatly assist the association in extending its activities and help to alleviate the financial embarrassment of the past. He asked players to assist in raising £I,OOO over a period of three years, while he wits' confident that the other £I,OOO would be forthcoming from the public. The scheme was adopted by the meeting.
