CRASHED INTO RIVER
AUSTRALIAN AIR FORCE PLANE OCCUPANTS RESCUED BY FARMERS. Pre»i Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, September 23. 'An Air Force aeroplane crashed into the Hawkesbury River in the vicinity of Richmond Aerodrome to-day. The occupants, Pilot-officers W. Allshorn and G. Quinan, sank with the machine, but, despite minor injuries and severe shock, were able to extricate themselves. They rose to the surface, and were rescued by local farmers.
