CONCERT AT SANATORIUM

The Royal Dunedin Male Choir, under the auspices of the Patients and Prisoners’ Aid Society, travelled to Pleasant Valley last evenin'; and gave an enjoyable concert to the patients at the sanatorium. Under the baton ol Mr J. A. Haggitt, the part songs rendered by the choir included ‘ Roman War Song,’ 1 Ho-ro, My Nut-brown Maiden,’ ‘ Loch Lomond,’ ‘ Deep River,’ ‘ Sooner in the Morning,’ ‘Swing Low, Sweet Chariot,’ ‘All Thro’ the Night,' 1 Here’s a Health to the King,’ ‘ Roll the Old Chariot,' and sea chanties were also included with those numbers. Songs were contributed by Misses Margaret Howden. Betty Carr, and 0. M‘Jntosh, and Messrs. R. Mitchell, G. K. Wentworth, J. A. Haggitt, and ducts by Messrs R.' \V. Dunbar and J. D. M'Kechnic. Miss Eva’ Judd presented

violin solos, and Madame Stella, Miss Judd, and Mr J. A. Haggitt rendered the accompaniments. At the conclusion, of the .^concert. Mr Shcat, .chair-. nian>of the sanatorium, on behalf of the board and'staff, thanked the choir and the performers, and one of the patients expressed thanks on behalf of the inmates.
