MAGISTRATE’S COURT
THURSDAY, September 24. (Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.) UNDEFENDED CASE. Judgment for the plaintiff was given by default in the following undefended case:—Crust and Crust v. E. Jl. Morton (Auckland)£2o 3s 3d, amount of dishonoured cheque, with interest. BREACHES OF AWARD. Alexander Leckio was proceeded against by the inspector of Awards on a. claim for £lO as a penalty for committing a breach of the Dunedin and Oamaru Butchers’ Award in that lie tailed to pay overtime to two employees under the award. The defendant was also charged with failing to keep a correct record of time worked by his assistants. The magistrate imposed a penalty of £2 and costs.
