Patrons are availing themselves of the buying facilities of the depot, and the ladies’ staff has been kept fairly busy fulfilling orders for materials for summer frocks for ladies and children. Those of the registered unemployed who have not availed themselves of these cheap materials are advised to do so without delay, as the privilege may be withdrawn shortly. SUNDAY CONCERT. The South Dunedin Unemployed Association is staging another concert in the Empire Theatre on Sunday night, September 27. The proceeds of this concert are for their children’s Christmas cheer fund. The association stages this treat for the children annually, and it is hoped that it will have enough funds to again provide for the youngsters liberally. The concert will be one of the best yet presented to the public, as Mr Bidgood, the manager of the Empire Theatre, who is a talented musician, is cooperating .with the officials,.
