TROOPS FOR PALESTINE
MORE LEAVE ALDERSHOT (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, September 22. (Received September 23, at noon.) More than 1,500 troops left Aldershot to embark on the steamship California at Southampton for Palestine. The troops belong to the 2nd Battalion of the West Yorkshire Regiment, the 2nd Battalion of the Hampshire Regiment, and the Royal Army Pay Corps. With this departure there will be 10 battalions at sea. The first detachment of reinforcements is due to arrive at Haifa to-day, and General Dili, with his staff, will b© present to welcome the troops.
