KAIKORAI VALLEY ROAD.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In a recent issue of your paper there appeared a print of a “ bottle neck ” in the above road, which, caused the bus using the road on Sundays to be very dangerous to other motor vehicles. As this road has a very large number of motor lorries on it on week days, the risk of collisions would be much greater then. If the City Council finally uses only buses from Rattray street to Highgate, it might be worth considering scrapping the cable route to Highgate and running, say, a limited cable service from Highgate to the Valley, This would avoid the bus service via Kaikorai Valley road, which cannot be'mado wide enough for buses. —I am, etc., „ Safety First. September 23.
