INTOXICATED DRIVER'S SECOND OFFENCE SENTENCED TO FIVE WEEKS’ IMPRISONMENT [Per United Press Association. - ! HASTINGS, September 23. A sentence of five weeks’ imprisonment and a fine of £lO were imposed on John Eranklin, who was also disqualified from holding a license for threo years by the Magistrate (Mr Miller) when charged with being intoxicated in charge of a car and driving without a license. Accused was fined £ls last week on similar charges, and was warned by the magistrate that in future the court would have to consider sending such offenders to gaol. Four hours later ho was again arrested for the same offence.
