KING SOLOMON BEEP LEAD MEN MINE CLOSED MEANTIME [Per United Press Association.] GORE, September 21. The directors of the King Solomon Deep Lead Ltd. announce that, owing lo labour troubles, the mine has been closed in tlie meantime. This announcement follows the dispute regarding the inauguration of the 40-hour week, the men refusing to work on Saturdays. The men held a stop-work meeting to-day, and unanimously decided to continue working the 40-hour week. They were thereupon informed by the manager that the mine would he closed pending a settlement of the dispute. The miners decided to withdraw the pump attendants, but there is no danger of the mine being flooded, as the manager and foreman will take over the pumping duties. About 50 men are affected.
