WELL ORGANISED
NEW ZEALAND'S AIR LINES NIGHT FLYING IN AUSTNAIIA [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, September 21. Mr Harold Gatty, who arrived by the Monterey, leaves for Wellington by the Limited this evening. He said he was unable to make a statement as to the Pan-American Company’s preparation, as it was not seeking publicity, and a great deal of work had yet to be done. “ Australian aviation is expanding rapidly, and they; are getting ready for night-flying. Three-quarters of the flying in America is done at night, and soon Australia will be doing the same. New Zealand’s problem is slightly different, with shorter distances, but night-flying will eventually come here. “ The air lines in New Zealand are all well organised and well run, having started on a solid foundation, which is more than can be said for Australia. The latter is short of experienced pilots and mechanics to carry out an expanding programme. There has been a big increase in th* traffic recently.” ' >
