SCOTTISH SOCIETY
The monthly social and dance of the Scottish Society was held on Saturday evening in the Victoria Hall, a record gathering of members and friends being present. Mr Jas. Nicol Fraser (president), accompanied by Mr Jas. Caldwell (chairman), and members of the executive were piped to the platform by the official piper, Mr R. Hornal. A hearty welcome was extended to members and friends and kindred societies. The St. Andrew’s Society was represented by the president, Mr H. Bell. Items were given by Miss Nan M‘Kee, Miss B. M. Herd, Miss Agnes Hill, Mr Walter Prictor; massed hornpipe dances under Miss Reta Warren, Miss A. Brown, Miss M. Harris, Miss L. M'Phersou, Miss S. M'Pherson, and Miss M. Brissell. Supper was provided by the Ladies’ Social Committee, under Mrs J. Stewart. The M.C.s were Messrs W. P. Smith and A. M ‘Pherson. Monte Carlo prizes were won by the Misses Taylor, Mr Marshall, and Mr Archie. Dance music was provided by the Arcadian Dance Band,,
