The following is the result of the race, Green Island to Otolda, and return (28 miles) ; —T. Guy 1, F. Twist 2, G. Heasley 3, A. J. Hay 4, J. Woodford 5. Fastest time: G. Heasley, Hi 12min. LOGAN PARK CRICKET CLUB ANNUAL MEETING The annual general meeting of the Logan Park Cricket Club was held in the Bowling Club’s pavilion at Logan Park on Thursday, there being a good attendance of members. The chair was occupied by Mr A. M’Lennan. The Chairman, in moving the adoption of the annual report, stated that the club had passed through a very successful season, and that the teams had done very well in their respective grades. He continued that an encouraging feature was the keenness displayed by the. members. He also offered his congratulations to the average winners for their performances. These were Second grade B—Batting F. Foster, bowling H. Foster and E. Hay; third grade—batting G. Payton, season 1934-35, batting and bowling, 1935-36, W. .1. Walker; second in batting A. Torrance, second in bowling A. Dawson. Mr H. Latimer, in moving the adoption of the balance sheet, expressed appreciation of the club’s sound financial position, there being a good credit balance. He paid a tribute to the work of the treasurer, Mr Paterson. The election .of office-bearers resulted:—Patron, Sir dames Allen; president, Mr A. M'Lennan; senior vice, president,. Mr.W. Cocking; vice-presi-dents —Messrs P, Lee, J. Foster, Collie. J. Munro, J. Deuchrass, G. Davidson, D. Tannock, G. Latimer. G. .1. Williamsoij,. A. Beck, J. 'J'. Paul, 0. G. Miller, F. Perrers, sen., L. Watson, P. Neilson; lion, auditor, Mr C. F. Larsen; hon. secretary, Mr T. Walker; treasurer, Mr P. Paterson; club captain, Mi- L. Pearson; deputy club captain, Mr F. Foster; Selection Committee —Messrs L. Pearson, A. M‘Lean, H. Payton; committee —Messrs H. Latimer, H. Payton, A. M'Lean; delegate to 0.C.A., Mr L. Pearson. Mr H. Payton moved a vote of thanks to the president, Mr A. M'Lennan, for his support during the season, and this was carried by acclamation. A vote of thanks to the Logan Park Bowling Club was also passed for the use of the pavilion on numerous occasions. On the motion of Mr M'Lennan the secretary was thanked for his services. The opening day was fixed for October 10.
