MOUNTING SALES
Interesting figures released by General Motors (New Zealand) Limited with regard to sales of motor cars in New Zealand reveal the fact that from the peak total of 26,695 vehicles sold in 1939 in New Zealand, the year 1933 saw the total shrink to under 5,000 units. The figures rapidly rose in 1934 to .12,356, and in 1935 to 19,760, and there is ample indication that this year’s total will exceed all previous records. Truly motor car sales have been called “ the barometer of industry.”
