On Tuesday and Wednesday evenings of next week Dunedin playlovera will have an opportunity of witnessing performances of one of the world’s greatest plays, when Stephen Phillips’s ‘ Paolo and Francesca ’ will be staged by Mr Uussell-Wood Beautiful dressing, for ivhich Mrs Hugh Speight is responsible will be a feature of the production, and special lighting will lend atmosphere to several tense scenes. Violet Livingston promises to be impressive in the role of Lucrozia; Charles Tobin has the threat dramatic part of Giovanni, in which he promises to do exceptionally fine work. Leslie Pithie and Doreen Bbodes will appear as the two young lovers, the blind servant will bo interpreted by Helen .Johnson, and Leo Manning will do the character part of Pnlci.
