The Jerusalem correspondent of * The Times’ says: “Local meetings are being held in Palestine to-day to consider how to end the striko_ and the campaign of violence which the Higher Arab Committee feels unable to do without their consent. Arabs are also making comparisons between France’s treatment of Syria and Britain’s treatment of Palestine. The Higher Arab Committee even sent a message congratulating the Syrian delegation to Pans on securing a new treaty and lauding France as a friend of oppressed peoples.”
