Miss Eileen Joyce, the Australian pianist, who is under engagement to the. New, Zealand Broadcasting Service, arrived in Dunedin from the north by yesterday afternoon’s express. - At the annual meeting of the . Taieri Cricket Club at Mosgiel last night the S’ lent (Mr Doogue) referred to the of Mr George Craig, a vice-presi-dent of the dub. Mr Craig had been, a keen supporter of the club, and Ms death was very much regretted. ■ Mr Clyde Carr was selected at the annual meeting of the New Zealand branch of the Empire Parliamentary Association last night to represent the New Zealand branch at the centenary celebrations to be held in South Australia between December 22 and December 81 next.' An invitation to send a delegate was received (says a Press Association telegram from Wellington) from the Premier of South Australia on behalf of the Government and the branch of the association in that State. All expenses, including fares will be paid by the South Australian Government, and the delegates will be the guests of the State during the visit. They will also be officially entertained in other Australian States they may visit.
