AIR LINES TO BE USED RESULT OF SHIPPING CURTAILMENT. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright SPDNEY, September 15. Tho Postal Department, in view of the curtailment of the Union Company’s transpacific service on October 22, is making arrangements to despatch mail matter to New York via the Australia to London air lines and the transpacific shipping lines. Thus letters posted in Sydney will reach New York in 20 days, compared with 21 days by Matson and Union mail liners as at present.
