MERRYMAKERS' CONCERT

A very enjoyable entertainment was given by the Merrymakers’ Concert t’arty under the direction of Mr H. 0. Solomon on Monday evening at Ross Home. The following gave items.Mr Moore (accordion solos), Mr G. Silver (variety entertainment), Mr W. S. Cooper (mouth organ selection), Mr Carey (musical saw numbers), Mr Adamson (Scottish songs), Mr Phillips (accordion solo), Messrs Beckingsale (2), Tahu Parata, and W. S. Cooper (instrumental numbers), Mrs Black (passage from Shakespearean drama), Miss Reekie (solos), Mrs Finch (Scotch song), Miss Dowie (humorous sketch and songs). _ Mr W. S. Cooper led a community sing. At the close Messrs Ray and Les. Beckingsale and Mr Tara Parata entertained with vocal numbers. The acting matron heartily thanked the director and performers.
