(Received September 16, at 12.30 p.m.) The ‘ Daily Mail ’ says Lovelock, before leaving for America aboard the Queen Mary, disclosed that he is working out a- secret running plan against the > runners whom he will meet at Princeton University, and adds that it will prevent competitors from boxing him in arranging for one of their men to win. Lovelock will return to London before Christmas; then he will go to'New Zealand to advise on athletic organisation, after which he will retire for two years in order to repair his health and finances.
