SIR JOHN REED RETIRING
FIFTEEN YEARS IN SUPREME COURT [Per United Pkess Association.] WELLINGTON, September 15. The Acting Chief Justice, Sir John Reed, will reach the retiring age at the end of this year. He has been a judge of the Supreme Court ainoe 1921. There is already much speculation in legal circles regarding his successor. The name of Mr Mason (the AttorneyGeneral) is being mentioned, although such an appointment is regarded as unlikely.
