Young Lady (helping at village tea) : “ Now, Mrs Hope, won’t you have another piece of cake?” Mrs Hope (eyeing the ham sandwiches) : “ Well, miss, if it’s all the same to you, I’d rather ’ave a taste o’ summat as has drawed breath!” The fair motorist saw a lonely pedestrian on the road. She; “Won’t you come and ride with me?” He: “ Just like a woman. Buy yourself that thing and then afraid to ride alone in it.”
