DAMAGED BY FIRE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, September 13. (Received September 14, at 1,15 a.m.) The famous Paris Opera House had a narrow escape from destruction by lire which broke out early in the morning, apparently due to a short circuit. Nine brigades succeeded in quelling the fire after three hours’ work. The stage was damaged by flames and water, but the auditorium was not damaged.
