[From Our Cromwell Correspondent.] At the monthly meeting of the Warden’s Court art Cromwell on Wednesday the 'warden, rl. J. Dixon, S.M., dealt with the following applications for mining privileges: — • Austral Malay Tin Limited. —Application for certificate of protection for license; No. 4,663 on the Lindis River and No. 6,474 on the Clutha River.— Granted to 15/5/37 and 10/6/37 respectively . George W. Mills.—Application fci certificate of casement, objected to bv Mary Williams by her statutory ad ministrator, the Public Trustee.--Granted subject to condition that applicant keeps tiie race in good order. Johanna M'Felin. —Application for water race from Ti Tree Gully, objected to by Messrs Towan, Bros., Cromwell Borough Council, and J. L. S. Wright —Refused, with costs against applicant amounting to £3 18s. Charles Wahle and Roger J. —Application for extended alluvia, claim of. two acres on Cairnimnr.— Granted. ~ . George William Jack Bell.—Apphcn tion for a special site at Bendigo.—Adjourned to October sitting.
