ROTARY CLUB BALL

SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION IN THE SAVOY A very enjoyable dance and one that will long remain a happy memory to those present was held on Thursday evening in the Tudor Hall, when members of the Dunedin Rotary Club held their annual ball. The ball room of the Savoy presented a simple but very effective decorative scheme of massed cinerarias in every possible colour, with festoons of coloured lights. A blazing log fire in the lounge shed a cheerful glow in the softly lit room, and here the guests were received by the president, Mr James Hogg, and Mrs Hogg, the latter wearing a becoming gown of sun-tan cloquo with a smart little Tudor jacket to match and carrying a bouquet of violets and crimson begonias, the gift of the committee. They were assisted by Mr and Mrs S. P. Cameron frock of shot taffeta in fuchsia tonings). During the evening several specialty dances were given and were much enjoyed; they included clever tap dance items by Miss Ngaila Slowley, dances by Miss Vivienne Lamb and. Mr C.
