The August copy of * Every Woman’s ’ is a very varied publication with some excellent reading matter, including several very readable stories, an interesting account of the Royal garden parties, notes on re-cently-published books, recent films and some very smart fa*hion plates. The August number of ‘ The Home,’ published by the ‘ Sydney Morning Herald,’ maintains its usual high standard and brings a real breath of spring, the coloured fashion plates are specially interesting and the reading matter is all bright and attractive. Weldon’s ‘ Bazaar of Children’s Fashions ’ contains five useful free patterns and a full-page portrait of H.R.H. the Princess Margaret Rose. A special article on National Baby week, by Norah March, B.Sc., fiction, articles on beauty secrets, swimming hints, and answers to correspondents are all contained in this very interesting woman’s magazine. The spring fashion number of ‘ Every Lady’s-’ has its usual complement of useful and attractive frock patterns as well as all kinds of interesting information about the new ideas for spring clothes and home knitted jumpers. Little pique jackets, flowers, flattering details, a new version of the “ gob ” hat. and fashions for the “ frankly fifty,” are just a few of its outstanding news jtems.
