King Edward Dr Schuschnigg at the British ‘Legation this morning. POLITICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF TOUR ' SPECULATION IN THE BALKANS. LONDON, September 11. (Received September 12, at 1.5 p.m.) The * Daily Chronicle ’ says that from one end of the Balkans to the other political significance is now being attached to King Edward’s cruise. Since leaving England he has- seen King George, General Metaxas, Kemal Ataturk, King Boris, Prince Paul, President Miklas, Dr Schuschnigg, and the Hungarian Foreign Minister. The fact that the - King’s voyage was planned purely as a holiday has done nothing to stop the flowing tide of speculation and consequent influence of opinion and policies in other countries. The King’s journey is being interpreted abroad as a move, in British policy. It is believed that the visit has done much to restore confidence in Britain,
