WOMEN’S HOCKEY

ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE MEETS An executive meeting of the Otago Women’s Hockey Association was held on Tuesday evening, when there were present: Miss Hill (in the chair), Mrs Sonntag, Misses Adams, Lee, Mackie, Wilson, and Warburton, Mr Ireland, the manager of the Otago tournament team, gave a full report of the Dominion tournament, and remarked that the conduct of the team, both on and off the field, had been excellent.

A vote of thanks was accorded Mr Ireland and the manageress (Mrs Sonntag) for the time and attention they had given the team while in Blenheim. It was decided that, as the season was far advanced, the two matches against North Otago, which’ had been postponed on September 5, should be hold over until next season. The following matches have been arranged to be played on the Oval on Saturday:—Moniona (B grade) v. Palmerston, at 1.45 p.m.; Momona (C grade) v. Bounty (C grade final), at 3 p.m.; Dunedin Club v. Balclutha Club, 1.45 ip.m.; Central Otago v. Otago (representative fixture), at 2 p.m. OTAGO'TEAM. The Otago team to play Central Otago will be as follows; —Goal, D. Wills; backs, 11. Wilson and M.Bewley; halves—A. Mackie, N. Cannon, I. Palmer; forwards—L. M‘Neur, H. Johnson, A. Harley, E. Sonntag, R. Warburton; emergencies, M. .Fisher and K, Angell. . •. „ , (
