FRIDAY'S COMMUNITY SING

The weekly sing will be held on Friday in the Strand Theatre (by courtesy of Fuller-Hayward) at 12.15 p.m. As the season is drawing to a dose, only a few more midday sings will be held. Another good programme has been arranged for this week, which will include Mrs R. Hastie, who will be heard in vocal numbers, and Mr Basil Smith, of Kaitangata, who is making Ins first appearance in Dunedin, will bo heard in yodelling numbers, to the accompaniment of the steel guitar, which he also plays. It is hoped that another large house will be present and give these two performers a good welcome. Mr H. P. Desmoulins, the leader, has arranged another good selection of choruses. Mr Alf Pettitt will be at tho piano. Flowers are always acceptable at tho stall. Donations can be sent to Begg’s or Strand Theatre. Proceeds are for the mayor’s relief fund.
