RIFLE SHOOTING
BUKEDfIi DEFENCE RIFLE QLVB The Dunedin Defence Rifle Club had a practice shoot on Saturday afternoon. There was an attendance of 16, and 10 shots (two optional sighters) eaeh were fired at 300 and 500yds. TKe weather was fine, with fair' visibility, there was a moderate breeze at 300yds, which died down before the. s.ooyds range was reached. The highest score at 300yds was 45, made by Riflemen W.’ A, : Graham and A. A. Parker, the former; taking pride of place on the count back. At 500yds Rifleman R. A. Mackie was top with the fine score of 48. He also headed the day’s aggregate with 92, Following are the highest scores:—
