These functions provide an excellent night’s entertainment at a reasonable cost. • The revised picgramme has proved ■ a great success, satisfying the patrons, who enjoy the old-time as well as the ihodejrn dances. There will be two Monte Carlos tonight for prizes. The Regal Band provides excellent music at these dances. Supper may be procured between the hours of 9.30 and ,10.30 at a small charge. FUEL SUPPLIES The mavor’s relief organisation has completed “fresh arrangement® for fuel supplies to unemployed workers. Commencing from October 1 the quantity to be allowed will be four bags per month—two of Kaitangata and two of Taratu, or, alternatively, four of Taratu. The prices to be charged are Kaitangata 2s and Taratu Is 3d. SimiJar supplies are available to subsidised porkers for a further month at Kaitangata 3s and Taratu 2s 3d.
