COMMUNITY SING
A community sing will be held in the Town Hall on Tuesday evening, October 8, at 8 o’clock. A special Rugby football evening has been arranged by Mr Arthur Macdonald. Thirty chorines and five first-class items will be given. The entry of the Dunedin Highland Ripe Band will be repeated, also many Rugby novelties. At 8 o’clock the Otago Rugby team will lie played to tbeir place on the stage. The pro-
needs of the entertainment are in aid of the Dunedin Highland Ripe Band contest fund, so that Dunedin can be represented at Wanganui. If the public appreciates all the good work this band lias done in the city they can help them by booking seats or sending donations to Mr Arthur Macdonald, Begg’s Buildings, Princes street. Box plans open at M'Crncken and Walls, George street, on Thursday morning next.
