PLANE CRASH

(Received September 27, at 1 p.m.) _ Flying Officer Dennehy (a New Zealander) and a passenger were killed in a plane crash FORMER WELLINGTON RESIDENT. [Per Uhttbo Peek Association.] WELLINGTON, September 27. Flying Officer William Daniel Dennehy, who was 28 years of age, joined the Royal Air Force in 1930. He was granted a short service commission. At the time of his death he was stationed in Palestine. He was adjutant to No. 2 Armoured Car _ Company, which carried out communication flying; Flying Officer Dennehy was ■ a resident of Wellington before he joined the Air Force. He was educated at St. Patrick’s College. He visited Wellington on furlough a few months ago.
