ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
FOUND DEAD IN CHAIR. A verdict that death was due to /natural causes was returned _by the coroner when the inquest into the death of Thomas Buchanan, aged 65, was concluded at Auckland. A cleaner employed at a city building gave evidence of having found the deceased dead sitting in a chair. The doctor who examined the deceased said he considered death to have been due to heart failure. ' The coroner said the post mortem bore out the doctor’s opinion. It was stated that death appeared to have been caused by coronary scelerosis. FATAL COLLISION. Allan Nicholls, aged 18, son of Mr and Mrs F. G. Nicholls, of Brightwater, was killed when a motor cycle which he was riding collided with a push cycle near the Brightwater bridge. The cyclist was an old man, a stranger to the district, who is believed to have come from Christchurch. He was admitted to the hospital suffering from a broken leg and head injuries.—Nelson Press Association. FALL OFF A CHAIR. Through falling off a chair while engaged in cleaning brass at the offices of ° Messrs Irwin and Irwin. Moray Place, yesterday, Catherine Wilson, a widow, "aged 63 years, who resides at 17 Leith street, suffered a' fractured right wrist. She was admitted to the Hospital at 7 p.m. CHILD’S ARM FRACTURED. While playing in the Wakari School grounds yesterday afternoon, Betty Campbell, aged 11 years, who resides at 174 Kaikorai Valley road, fell and fractured her right arm. She was admitted tq the Hospital at 5 p.m. COLLAPSED IN STHEET. Nancy Simpson, who resides at 112 Albany" street, was admitted to the Hospital at 5.30 p.m. yesterday. She collapsed in the street and was conveyed to the Hospital in a taxi. ACCIDENT WITH AXE. While chopping wood with an axe this morning, William Barber, a single man. aged 28 years, injured Ins left hand and was admitted to the Hospital at 11.30 a.m,'
