QUESTION OF NEW TRIAL [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 26. After further legal argument # the Court of Appeal reserved its decision in the case in which Thomas Pattrick Shaw, taxi driver, of Westport, and Thomas Shaw, electrician, also of Westport, appealed from the decision of Mr Justice Johnston, who refused to grant the application for a new trial of the action heard in the Supreme Court m Westport in February. , The plaintiff, Freda Hill, was awarded damages amounting to £1,750, the jury holding that the death of her husband, which occurred as the result of a motor accident, was due to the negligence of Thomas Pattrick Shaw, whose car collided with the deceased’s motor cycle.
