GIRL ASSAULTED
YOUNG MAH PLEADS GUILTY In the Police Court this morning Ernest Wade pleaded guilty to a charge of assaulting a girl by throwing her to the ground. - n Senior-sergeant Packer said that lull inquiries had not yet been made. At 5.45 last night the accused, who was a resident of 25 and who had been sentenced for a similar oftence, tor which he had received three years imprisonment, - was, on the beach at ot. Kilda, where he caught hold ot. a 19-year-old girl and violently threw her on the sand. There were other people about at the time. The accused. said he could not get work and he had been drinking. He had no place to go, and his object in attacking the girl was that he wanted to go to gaol. The magistrate (Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M.) said he required further particulars about the accused, who was remanded in custody for a week to enable further inquiries to be made.
