At 11.44 this morning the City Fire Brigade was called to the corner of Littlebourne road and Oueen’s Drive, where fire had broken out in the bush. The outbreak was quickly subdued. Britain is going back to the land under, scientific protection. Since 1931 the area under fruit orchards has increased by over 10,00. acres, while the land under vegetables is now 73,(XX) acres more than it was before the Horticultural Duties were introduced.
