NEW STREAMLINED EXPRESS (British Official 'Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, September 23. The new streamlined express, Silver Jubilee, which the London and North Eastern Railway will put into service between London and Newcastle next Monday, underwent its trial to-day, in which the engine maintained a speed of over 100 m.p.h. over six miles down falling grades, the maximum speed recorded being a fraction over 301 m.p.h. On the reverse run the engine reached the summit at 72 m.p.h.
