An unrehearsed incident, with serious consequences to Charles Bickford, the popular actor of many dramatic pictures, occurred during the filming of a scene for a new production at Hollywood on Monday. Bickford was severely mauled by a lion, which sank its teeth into the back of his neck. He is at present featured in the main role of one of the Strand Theatre’s two current pictures, 'A Notorious Gentleman.'
