The only electorates which the Labour Party has definitely decided not to contest at the General Election are Bay of Islands, represented by. Mr Rushworth (Country Party), Ivaipara, represented' by Mr Coates,' and Mataura, by Mr M'Dougall (Independent). , _ . , Labour candidates for Hurunm and mid-Canterbury will be selected at an early date, but the question whether, Franklin, Egmont, and Nelson will be contested has not yet been decided. It is expected, however, that there will be not Jess than 70 Labour candidates.
