FINE ENGLISH COMEDY
FEATURED FOR GRAHD TO-MORROW v Coming to the Grand to-morrow is another English film, ‘ The Morals of ■Marcus.’ This picture has been pro. duced from the excellent play by W. ,1. Locke, and is said to offer entertainment of a high order. The novel method of treating the .story should provide interest to all types of theatregoers, and the general production and acting of the players are also reported to be of a high standard. A very distinguished cast of players has been gathered together for this story, at the head of which is the Mexican-born star Lupe Velez, who went to England especially to star in the role of Carlotta; lan Hunter, last seen in * The Man From Toronto’: Noel ’ Madison, son of Maurice Moscovltch; and Adri- -j anue Allen. . Elaboralely;jtfonmed, with original and striking costumes, liahtly acted with romance "and comedy equally i)lended, W. J. Locke’s story is said to be one that should make people forget their everyday worries. Briefly, the story is one that concerns the adventures" of an escaped harem girl, who is befriended by a professor of science and later taken to his Mayfair home,where he begins the difficult task ofj taming her a little and educating her., She falls in love with Sir Marcus, but he fails to be attracted until he sees the jealousy displayed by his lady .secretary. From then on, it is said, the entertainment, is particularly bright and interesting.
