According to Chinese reports, the resumption of through on the Pe-king-Mukden railway, which is expected to commence on July 1, will be followed by the cancellation of the Tangku truce, which terminated the Sino-Japanese hostilities in North China last year. Cancellation of the truce is also likely to lead to the withdrawal of all the Japanese troops along the Giyat Wall.
