NAVY ADDRESSES
EDUCATION BOARD'S ATTITUDE [Fas United" Press Association.] WELLINGTON, June 21. The Education Board- made clear to the School Committees and the Educa- , tional Federation?- its attitude on the question of addresses to scholars on the subject of the. British Navy. The federation had written protesting against the entry of Navy League re- . presentatives and Admiral BurgesWatson. to the schools to speak to scholars on Navy matters. The board resolved that the federation be informed that the secretary of the local branch of the league was the ouly person authorised to address school children regarding the aims and objects of the league, but his right of access is subject to the approval of both the school committees and the head teachers; also, the federation is to be informed that the board had given no , authority,to Admiral Burges-Watson to visit any .schools, and was quite unaware that he had done so.
