Time, 2inin Soisec. FLYING HANDICAP (First Division). Mr W K. M ‘Donnell's eh c TAVERN KNIGHT (Guy Shield— Sheband), N.Z., 7.0 (O’Sullivan) 1 Kahunoti, 9.0 (D. Munro) ... ... 2 Cane Grass, 9.0 (M'Caften) 3 Twelve started. This was Tavern Knight’s first race in Australia, He did not start well, but finished with a fine burst of speed and won by a short head.
