MACANDREW ROAD SCHOOL

In order to raise funds for the many school improvements, the ex-pupils of the above school, in co-operation with the committee and staff, have decided to hold a queen carnival and industrial exhibition at the school during August. To stimulate interest during the exhibition it has been agreed that an ox-pupil v. school queen carnival be held. Already the school queen committee has hold meetings, and the ex-pupils are holding their initial meeting on Wednesday, particulars of which are advertised. As’ the school received splendid support from ex-pupils at the jubilee celebrations it is hoped that this worthy object will receive similar support. Mr John Bowie, head master, has been appointed treasurer, with a very energetic committee.
